  • Petrol nose, wonderful aromatics of honey, white flowers, camomile. Acidity could be a touch higher.

  • Medium golden yellow color. Beautiful nose of Sprite-y lemon/lime, slatey minerallity and sea-spray. Slight hint of old-Mosel petrol as well. This is rich and full bodied with mouth-watering acidity and loads of saline minerallity to complement the pit fruit and fresh herb salad flavors! WOW! I'm almost chugging this its so delicious. Thyme and lemon/lime dressing to coat the perfectly ripe apricots and peaches. This is a marvel of a wine. Still incredibly youthful, this is singing! Tingles your tongue as this acid, mineral and fruit driven beauty crosses your palate. Drink now-2032++ 96

  • This has been resting in my cellar for 20 years. The cork was wet and slightly protruding but came out in 1 piece. This is the oldest GH Spatlese I’ve had. Medium yellow color. Aromas of poached pears and light petrol. One of the creamier Prums I have had. Tropical notes with marshmallow and lemon curd. Elegant with a silky finish. Fine acidity. Drinking beautifully. 94 points

  • Elegant, intricate and intellectually engaging, the 1999 Himmelreich Spätlese maintains youthful peach and nectarine fruit notes, along with lime zest and saline elements. It’s balanced on the head of a pin, and needs to be served close to cellar temperature to show all the palate depth. Youthfully mature, this is great for drinking now, yet has enough stuffing for another ten or twenty years.
