I was given this bottle on my 40th birthday, 20 years ago when the wine was 10, my friend was 65 and I was 40. Found it doing a cellar inventory and opened it with a grilled sirloin. Ruby with bricking at the edges. Loads of barnyard funk that blew off. Later some leather, rose petals and licorice. Dried red fruits. This was probably better (more punch) 10-15 years ago, but it wasn't at all bad, just old and fading; like us.

Interesting nose. Body is white grapes, and maybe a hint of peaches. Very odd. Not really my jam
