  Clear light brow/red. Aged Barolo nose, lots of tar, black cherry, nutmeg and old wood. The finish is holding on nicely not being at all dried out.

  Exciting palate entry with tar, earth, and leathery plum fruit. Lush on the palate, mouth-filling. A privilege to drink.

  Surprisingly lighter in color than I expected. Tar, leather and notes of cherry.

  Had to add a couple of experience points just because it was so fun to drink a 30-year-old Barolo. Quite smooth, lush even. Some bricking but not what I anticipated. Plum and menthol nose but subtle. The mouth feel was exceptional - so silky. Soft tannins nearly gone. Dark plum flavors predominate, some cherry and a little spice and earth. A wonderful experience, and thanks to my daughter and son-in-law for giving that to me a few years ago. At the time I made the decision to hold to age 30 and it was a good choice. Fun!!
