  • Decanted first for about an hour. This helped a lot versus the last bottle we drank. Lighter tannins, but earthy and good.

  • Wow, this is right in my sweet spot of a wine that makes me do a Snoopy, with feet gyrating and a smile to the sky. This was a bottle I had to buy, upon visiting them for the first time , and having to pack the very substantial glass punted bottle in my suitcase home. But worth it. The nose is cassis like, but upon tasting, the flavor of makaresca cherry is so prominent and unlike any wine Ive tasted before. It's been open a couple of days and still remarkable. At it's peak now, but think it's still got a number of years left to run, reflecting other reviewers comments, in contrast to the CT published window.

  • Great nose, soft tannins and light in flavor. Nice easy Cab with vegetarian stew for a hearty and delicious supper.

  • Not everyone is lucky enough to get to drink this low volume and carefully crafted Stags Leap cab. A Stags Leap at its very best. Powerful, perfectly balanced with firm velvety tannins, deep purple color, full body with dense blackberry and black currant fruit, cocoa, layered flavors and lingering finish. Drinks beautifully now but have enough backbone to last for many years.

  • Wow, this is amazing and the below is based on a quick PnP! Color is a nice purple-red, aroma is rich and deep with lots of black fruit and light cherry. Taste follows the aroma. Medium-full body with big, fairly smooth Tannins, medium acidity and gobs of depth, texture and a very long finish. Wow!

Having this with a Grilled Smoked Bacon Chipotle Sea Salt-Crusted Chicken Breast with grilled asparagus, rice and a salad. I have no doubt, this will stand up to the chicken! Should be amazing!

Also, without a doubt, this had several more years ahead of it. Did I open this too early? Who cares, it’s drinking deliciously right now! I have to say though, the reviews are continuing to improve.
