Sexy sweet floral, baking spice and some forest floor scent. Racy black currant, rhubarb, black tea, dark chocolate and mineral flavor with very grippy tannins and a long finish. Has the energy to last many more years. The tannins are wild horses that need to be tamed, and extensive breathing helps. If the tannins soften, it would rate a few points higher.

Beautiful and elegant nose, classic Barolo. This wine drank well, but lots of tannin and acid left to give years of potential. I'm going to let this sit in the cellar for a while. If you want to try it now, give it two hours in a decanter before approaching.

About 20% new barrique on this apperently. This is from the "last part" of Villero. About 4,000 bottles of production. About 1,000 bottles goes into the riserva Villero. Its a barrel selection in the cellar. Deep dark tea flavors. Velvet and structure. Very tasty Barolo here. Rather cheap too. At $80 this is pretty darn good Villero.

Now there is a complex and layered nose. Very grippy throughout the palate. Just opened and lots of potential.
