Leo's Blind Tasting Group - June '16 edition (Back Forty West, NYC): Really liked this - packed with ripe apricot, quince, orange marmalade, and intense honey and other botrytis notes on a medium weight frame that never comes across heavy or cloying, despite the intense sweetness here. There's a lovely polished, almost glossy aspect to the texture, though it finishes just a touch short compared to the Rangen.

Rednecks & Rhones at Steve & Barb's house. Amber in color. A very nice balance that continues through to a long finish. Nicely sweet but the sweetness quickly fades into the balance of the whole. Apricots & clear, clean botrytis. It's downfall- it's not as good as the other 3 '91 Pinot Gris SGNs made by ZH! 50+13+13+9+9=94

Half bottle. Amber orange. Great old Tokay scents-apricots, figs, brown sugar. An essence of a wine without being too sweet or cloying. Complex and long. Absolutely delicious.

Medium gold in color, this nicely concentrated wine was full of aromas and flavors of honeysuckle, quince, raisins and roasted fruit. Medium bodied on the palate with a long finish. Seems ready to go and not one to age as long as the '91 Jebsal and Rangen SGNs. Very enjoyable. 50+13+13+8.5+8 = 92.5
