impressive transformation over the last few years. Starting to come into its own with a classic Napa blend vibe and plenty of pop. Still enough tannins not to hurry but those that have waited should be pleased. Dark with plenty of legs, great nose -- drinking well
too soon to drink. firm tannins and really tight on the open. improved significantly from a decant, although i tried it slowly along the way. by about 3 hrs it was showing better. does seem a bit thin to me to expect a transformation into something terrific though. would expect improvement after a few years on its side
Deep garnet color; very little leg formation. Classic peppery Bordeaux nose with sharp spicy overtones. Meaty herbaceous palate, rounded tones of cedar pank over a strong black fruit, plum and a hint of pomegranate. Aftertaste is long and satisfying with pronounced vanilla notes and perhaps a whiff of cocoa. Tasted again 2 days later and it gave a very good accounting of itself. Well-balanced and still a bit tannic.
