The bouquet features rose petals, more petrol and turpentine than tar, root vegetables, blue fruits, herbs, sandalwood, and mineral depth. The palate conveys the same elements, with turpentine, beets, and sandalwood prominent. Deep and inflection changing, well structured and balanced, tantalizing finish. 92-93.
Orange color on the edge like an more aged wine. Medium nose, burnt fruit, tar, floral notes, crushed roses and rocks. Very dry on the palate, fruit lingers in the finish. Agree with other notes about this potentially being closed down for now. Still, for the price point, has the structure and style to be a good QPR now.
Mostly French (& A Few More) Offline at Tilia (Tilia, Mpls): Dark red color. Decanted for 2 hours. Followed one glass over an hour. Nose is quite good, very earthy, ripe fruits, berry, spice, strawberry. The palate is still somewhat obscured by some firm tannins; tar, spicy, and showing some heat and oak on the finish. Good nose, but needs more time to integrate. Give this another 2+ years.
