Poised between the wild, capricious savor of Cote Rotie and the smooth, squid inky lusciousness of Barossa. The aromas are generous, the palate full, and the finish full of rosy, plush tannin, and, surprise!, a little bite and bitterness. Its complexity speaks roasted herbs and dark fruit rather than bacon and smoked meat. Terrific at cellar temps and grew in the glass until it started to get warm. Splendid with fennel/onion/bay leaf/port braised beef and insalata caprese. Tomorrow will taste again the un-aerated remaining 375 ml.
The oak spice is great, but the luscious fruit might have been even better with less of it. Early maturity phase at a peak. Could age easily but so nice now.

High octane for sure. Reductive at the outset. Fruit hidden under but I know it's there just needs a little coaxing. My fault for the early release - she needs bottle time first then decant is a must. Will revisit and follow-up. Hold.

Really excellent Syrah with big nose of dark fruit, minerals, and bloody meat. Medium to full bodied, paired well with steak.
Tasting note below is correct that it is like a cross between Northern Rhone & Barossa. Really great stuff!
Seems to be at peak now, but should easily last for several years more.
