This was an unusual port. I reckon it was either re-bottled or recently bottled from cask. The cork was a stopper, which I had not seen before. The nose was really strong, on opening the bottle and then decanting it wafted straight up. The colour was a deep brown - nothing untoward and to be expected from a 60 year old. The taste developed as it was exposed, starting off austere and then the fruit came through. Quite an experience
