Had that unique Condieu nose - tinned apricots and milk we thought(!) with other floral and minerally characters. But restrained not florid or extroverted. A stoney, minerally palate with a weighty, dense texture and some stone fruit richness coming through in the late palate. In excellent condition and readiness. A contemplative wine and food friendly.
Nice wine. I thought this smelled like orange, my wife said more of a nectarine scent and she's probably right. Taste reminds me of the sea. Some rocky mineral flavors. Tangy. Smells better than it tastes in the end I think.
Restrained bouquet of flowers. Needs plenty of air. Closed in for a long time. Lovely balance and depth. Minerality and complexity. Really quite compelling. Only just ready which is surprising for Condrieu but is rather impressive. Super value for money.
