1.5L - Surprised how well this held up. Just starting to develop non-fruit secondary flavors, but not enough acid to keep it going much longer. Enjoyable, drink now.

Age hasn’t paid the dividends I had hoped to see here. Overall flavor profile is still basically primary fruit flavors, and sweeter than I remember (from 9 years ago?). There’s not much in the way of tannin or structure, and only weak hints of acid; so I’m surprised it has lived as long as it has. It doesn’t have a foot in the grave, so to speak, but I don’t feel optimistic further aging will do it many favors. There is some barnyard on the nose, true to form for Oregon Pinot. And it is thin, watery, and ultimately dissatisfying—also true to form for Oregon Pinot.

Perhaps just past it’s peak. Still has mellow fruit notes, but the earthiness dominates the palette. We stored this in a wine fridge at 55 degrees with humidity control, and it aged gracefully. Paired with sea trout grilled with Pinot salt and served on a bed of fregola sarda with sautéed kale.

Unusual smoked hickory nose. Cherry, smoked hickory palate with earthy lengthy finish.

Barnyard nose that dissipates quick quickly revealing a sour cherry palate with forest floor background and well balanced soft tannins and acidity.
