(Noon Eclipse) Medium dark cherry red color with pale meniscus; redolent, intriguing, roasted black fruit, charcoal, cracked pepper, tar nose; rich, deep, intense, roasted black fruit, tar, cracked pepper, tar palate; good now and should age well; medium-plus finish (15.5% alcohol; 81% Grenache, 13% Shiraz, 6% Graciano)

The wine (tasted blind) was decanted for roughly 30 minutes and displayed a lovely aromatic profile including black currant, blackberry, white pepper and a delicate floral component. These core fruits tinged with spice were evident on the palate, resulting in a lovely expression of Mclaren Vale that possessed impressive balance and length. This wine is currently at its peak, but may be cellared for up to 8 more years.

Tasted blind. Very ripe, with notes of dishwashing soap. Too sweet and ripe on the palate for my taste.

Nice wine..ruby red in color good fruit no the nose......slightly over ripe. Good balance of fruit no tannin to speak of a good hit of white pepper due to vintage. Dont think it will get any better but but not yet starting to slide. Great wine for a difficult vintsge.Drink till 2020. Well done drew.
