3rd of 12, pnp, drunk over 3 nights, perfect level and cork, previous notes very good - dense garnet, almost black, little development; attractive bouquet, blackcurrant and plum with a touch of tobacco; fullish, decent length and persistence, ripe fruit, decent grip, Pauillac weight, best bottle yet and held up well over 3 nights. Fine (17.5).
Decanted for one hour. Some sediment, but no bricking, very clear. Nose of blueberry and blackberry jam jump from the glass with some cedar and pencil lead notes on the background. The dark fruit is still very present on the initial palate, but softly fades into red fruit with a slightly tannic finish. Overall great balance and softness. Still very good fruit for a 14 year old.
