Drinking well now - singing out of the gate but hadn't lost a note by day 3. A big wine yet restrained - the alcohol barely shows through. The aromas have a symphony of dark notes - Bing cherry, blackberry, black currant, chocolate cake and a hint of earth. The flavors match with the cherry taking center stage and adding a bit of cedar. Medium tannins, light-medium acid and a medium+ finish. I normally avoid wines with this much alcohol but Nick makes sure they have enough structure to make them a pleasure to drink.
Big, HUGE wine. Beautiful color and texture. Wonderful notes of dark berrys, cedar and herbs. Very well-balanced after a short amount of ageing. Another absolute stunner from Nick; given a short amount of age these wines are incredible!
Dark. Pretty subtle nose. Some bramble and spice. Big palate that really lingers. Great stuffing. Dark big fruit with bite. Drinking great but I did decant two hours. Probably even better with another year as still a little tannic. Some heat still evident. Great effort from tiny producer.
