Amazing Bordeaux To Mark A Special Birthday (Noizé, London): Served ever so slightly warmer than would be ideal. Palate has an intriguing nose of pineapple stalk, tarragon and pampas grass with some grapefruit pith freshness. Palate is crystalline and savoury. Fully mature to my palate and an effortless pleasure to sip. Limited acidity on the palate.

I found this much less sweet and flabby than I have found other vintages (especially the 2005), so I preferred it to them. Clear lines of lemon and line in the mouth. It was just as popular with non-wine geeks as it always is.

Bright gold color. It exhibits white flowers like honeysuckle, lanolin, pear, white peach, some dried tropical fruits, crushed rocks minerals, beeswax, sweet toasty notes too from oak. Medium body, round and supple mouthfeel with sharp acidity cut. Some developing flavours of honey and nuts. Distinctly Y in style. Lovely one.

Epic Bordeaux for an Epic Birthday!; 9/1/2021-9/12/2021 (Paris & Bordeaux): Straight up lime blossom. It's a bit chalky and even if I may say a bit of minerality. Very round and soft and yet there's a precise edge to the wine. I think this was a cooler vintage and that freshness comes through. Drinking incredibly well. For me a step up from the white burgundy we were meant to have (:-)).
