Deep yellow. Nose ripe fruit (citrus) with a touch of honey. More of the same in the mouth, plus spices, with some late acid to balance, and a good finish. From my taste at the Boiler Room, I remember more acid and spice, making it less zippy now, but perhaps deeper and fuller in the mouth. Drink up now to enjoy with a mildly spicy fish dish, or wait a couple of years, and it might be more rich, honeyed and pair with a simple fruit desert.
Finale lungo e aromatico.
Definitely a Gewurztraminer bouquet, but closer to German examples from Pfalz, etc., than Alsace. Ripe, very nice texture and weight. Juicy and with very good acid. There were a few angularities though...not quite all together perhaps.
