Big and easy to drink, but holding/hiding its alcohol well. Elements of sweet new oak well-integrated at pop-and-pour. This still has bold fruit, though I would guess less forward (and to my taste, more interesting) at this stage tjan a few yeara ago. Still has time if you prefer to hold, but no reason to wait. 91-92.

Perhaps the most robust, dense Syrah I have tasted in years. A great wine with much more character and body than the typical Washington Syrah. Really a very nice wine.

Herbal and earth scents; brier, bramble fruit, tobacco and licorice. Masculine in the mouth with black fruit, leather, loam, sanguine-blood and rare beef. Extremely drying-tight tannins which would benefit from additional cellaring. Try next 2015+
