Tasting not bad. Not as spicy as some zins. Not as rich, full bodied as many Turley's. But smell is a little strong of alcohol and maybe mint(?). Though it might not have been noticeable if drinking with a meal.
Purchased at Costco 3 years ago. While time did soften any hard edges, not sure this wine improved much and was rather pedestrian overall. There was still nice black cherry and black raspberry fruit with earthy spices edges, but the wine lacked that next level of complexity and length that define very fine wines. Drink now or next couple of years, there is still some tannin that could be resolved, however, that bright Zinfandel fruit is starting to fade.
