  A full nose of fruit, smoke with a dry after taste. Round full flavor to the mouth, tannins are present but do not inhibit the experience with a proper balance of fruit and tart. No bitter after taste still liquid to the tongue, not dry to the palate. Close to the French-style Petite Syrah, dry with full fruit and not the usual California fruit without the tannins. I am amazed at the balance of fruit and acid of a wine that might have otherwise turned. No signs of browning as it sits in the glass upon opening, perfect for 2015, which is a surprise. I've had a Barolo show more age in the glass with only four more years in the bottle.
