25$ @ Deluca - nice expression, meets my own QPR for whole package. The first tasting note is long, and along the same lines for me. Nose is a little light, don't appreciate much complexity other than some citrus/pear/minerality? Palate is on the richer side - med+ bodied, light+ acid, and with more fruit complexity along the lines of yes, pear/pineapple and there is that faint background of petrol or flinty metal? To be clear, this is a tasty experience and one i would try again and recommend this for perhaps a tasting of Chenin Blancs...

Drank this too far back to really remember. Just that it seemed to do better than the Pecan Stream Chenin Blanc from South Africa we had had recently as well

Once again I am surprised by a SA wine. Very elegant and stylish.
Clear, pale lemon in the glass with a tinge of green. The nose is bright with hints of green apple and candied lime peel. There's a slight petrol note but not entirely the same flint or wet wool quality it's french counterpart would have. Tons of minerality.
The palate is fresh and weighted simultaneously - almost like lemon custard. Riper fruit come across here like pineapple and peach - certainly not in an artificial way. Tremendous length, prickly acid, all around a well balanced wine.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this wine will actually improve over the next couple years.
