Very traditional nose, old cedar, red cherry, tar. Med bodied, nice chiantil.. I look forward to trying the 2010

A singleton decanted for 2 hours.
Deep colour. Concentrated bitter cherry with touch of old oak and capsicum grippy spine. A contrasting and notable accompaniment for rich dishes (in this case red deer osso bucco in a mole-style sauce). Needs food and quite probably another year to round off the rough edges. Nonetheless very enjoyable perhaps with further potential.
