  I was hoping to enjoy this wine more than I did, but this bottle disappointed. Cork extracted easily, barely stained. A lot of surface bubbles on the pour. Dense purple. Fresh cantina aromas. Mid weight, a bit on the light side. Initial impression of heat (at only 13% alcohol) and sour. Fruit never did fully emerge--gone? Tannins on the manageable side. OK to drink, just not in the same league as a couple of astounding bottles of Dolcetto in the past.

  Lovely juicy balanced Italian red, herbal notes, earth, dark brambly fruit. Great balance w/ acidity for food.
