  Third of these, but first in over 3 years with improvement noted. The medicinal and booziness notes have entirely dissipated, and this has become a delicious, nicely complex CDP. Fruit is holding up well but little evident acidity or tannic structure (I’d have preferred more). Big hit with Steve, who I took out for his birthday, and a really good match for the Turkish food at stylish Lokma on a slightly chilly SF evening (at this point, eating outside more because the inside was given over to a rehearsal dinner than IC necessity). Was ready to go off the pour and held well for 2 hours. I like this producer, even if I have a preference for the VV over this cuvee. Drink now and over the next several years. 93 if scoring.

  Still early maturity, but lovely with som very red meat. Plenty of Grenache here up front, just a wee bit of alcohol as the vintage speaks, but the sweet carressing fruit wins easily. Will go on for a decade - but lovely now.

  Fruit forward with notes of blackberry, cassis, chocolate, and pepper. Very extracted, but surprisingly balanced for the fruit concentration. Will hold up well against complex and spicy foods. In a good drinking window, but probably has at least a decade left.
