Ripe cherry liqueur. Plenty dark fruits. Classic CdR. Some meat and leather. Lovely ripe tannins, decent acidity. Good length. Great with food, alone the high alcohol overpowers a bit. But very good and great value. Definitely a big wine though! First bottle, no rush.
A bunch of Rhone 2011: A perennial qp winner. A beauty on opening. Not as aromatically expressive as others, but such a nice silky texture. In same price category cros de la mure was the winner on points after 20 minutes of airtime
