Casual dinner at Home (Vancouver, BC): Very floral and aromatic on the nose with dark cherry and berry notes with traces of spice. Very youthful on the palate, black fruited and rich with average acidity and length. Silky and easygoing, this is recognizable as Burgundy, but it could be from any village and would be very tough to peg as VR. Dark, rich, ripe and very young. Needs a few years. Very good. 88+
From a warm vintage. Dark, purplish color with loads of red and black fruit on the nose. A couple hours later a bit of barnyard, but not much. Smooth, supple wine. It almost has a California pinot profile. We'll see how this wine develops over time.
