Deepavali Pot Luck Dinner (Pine Close): Tasted blind. Pop and pour. Light fruity nose. Fresh, crisp red fruits on the palate. Red apples and a bit of strawberry. Light on the palate, veering into breezy forgettable territory. Short finish. But somehow, better tasting than the first time I tried this. No tartness this time.

Surprisingly delicate and very easy to drink for a 2012 wine. Fruity, lots of cherries, raspberries, red fruits, and it had a rather unique aroma of banana and grapefruit. Gentle tannins. I would have mistaken this for a simple Pinot Noir if I blind tasted this. Too straightforward though; not much complexity. Perfect for a pinic. Fuss free wine that is immediatly approchable. For the price I paid, this was excellent. Go Gamay!

Light purplish-pink colour. Crisp fruity aroma. On entry, it was just like a Pinot Noir. Vibrant youthful expressions of cranberries, strawberries, and apples. My wife said grapefruit too. Simple, straightforward, picnic wine. Finish was short, but had a slight tartness akin to chewing leaves freshly plucked from a bush.
