This wine had smooth tannins and a really nice finish. Pulled from cellar not really knowing what the price was. Was really surprised that it was so inexpensive for the quality in the bottle. A classically smooth Ribera del Duero.
Well made. Aging well too. I would say it is at its peak. I wonder if the fruit is just beginning to fall. Nevertheless, very good wine if not a bit reserved if not subtle. When drinking it, be patient and just savor it.
Deep, dense crimson color with dark fruit on the nose. More dark fruit o the palate with smoke and spice notes. Medium bodied, velvet mouth feel with well integraded tannins and heat. This wine is ready to drink now, structure is just starting to degenerate a bit. Smooth finish.
My second bottle. The wine had a great cork which I appreciate. Legs ran slow and fat. On the first day it was very decent with some tannins but nothing over the top. The fruit was present but subdued. I would describe it as a medium bodied wine a bit on the soft side. But the second day the fruit was dominant. I upped my score two points as a result. Very succulent taste. CT users indicate drink now, but based on the fact that the wine emerged more in the second day, I think this could go up to 5 more years.
