Last of my stash. An unusual 2012 from WV given its lean, acidic structure. Much like 2011? Then again, a wonderful accompaniment with a rich pasta and bright fruit offset with crunchy acids. I have found that there has been substantial bottle variation in this wine yet all sourced upon release and stored well. Pinot mystifies, hence its beauty!

A really classy Pinot from Ken. We shared a bottle about 12 months ago which was truly epic, fruit, forest, and herbs galore. Today also very fine, plenty of fruit and balance. Whilst not as vibrant still stunning. Btw, bought at release and stored at 55 degrees

A good, lean, minerally and Old World burgundian style Oregonian Willamette Valley pinot enjoyed tonight with Kim at Artisanal restaurant in Banner Elk NC - paired very well with seafood. Not a good QPR wine at the restaurant price but quite a reasonable QPR wine at the average CT price. Drank out of a 375 cc split. Initially served too cold but turned out to be just delightful as it warmed up. Dark red, medium - full bodied, good mouth feel, present but not intrusive tannins, very reasonable aftertaste and well balanced with enough tannins and structure to easily last an additional 3-5 years properly cellared. Floral, aromatic and intense nose of strawberry, raspberry and red cherry with a leaner flavor profile of black pepper, red cherry, red berries and baking spices. Recommend this wine.

Giving this wine some time in the cellar just has not helped it add the muscle it needs. Too bad I have 4 more. 86
