2009 Burgundies are getting ready to drink - village level wine esp. nicely balanced, bright red fruit, acid alcohol and attack all in balanced. Low score b/c of lack of length.

Pretty ruby clear to a denser core, fading a bit at the rim. Cranberry, other berries, leather and some alcohol on the nose. Nice attack tart berry, alcohol, tannin and acid nicely integrated. Nice medium finish with some earthy note too. Wondering if this isn't shutting down or if it needed more time in decanter. I'm going to wait another year to open another. good value, better than most village level burgs in the $20ish range.

Popped and poured and drank over two days. Considerably more accessible on day 2 showing light red fruit and good general burg typicity. A fair deal @$25. Hold for 5+ years as this one is starting to shut down.

Third Annual Holiday Party (The House - Woodley Park): No formal notes. Very fruity on the nose but shows a lot more grip and kick than I was expecting on the palate. Tastes quite firm and young.
