I was quite happy to see this on the list at Le Villaret in Paris. It was packed with minerals, acidity, pineapple, and citrus. I have a couple of the 2010 Sommerberg in my cellar, and this 2011 basic Brand proves how these wine can age. I'm not touching my 2010s for a while. The 2011 was young and delicious and a great restaurant find.

Rich, unctuous nose. Like high-octane chard, but all terroir, no oak. Full body. More of the same on the palate. Full of fruit (but dry) and full of minerality and place. 13.5% - I'm dizzy after a few glasses, but it's too good to stop drinking.

Very nice showing. Great texture, classic stone fruits. Wonderful on attack and mid-palate. Versatile with richer and complex foods. Once again proving Boxler a great value for quality.

Pineapple, apple, touch of mint and honey. Nice rounded palate, tangy and honeyed - lovely combo. Drinking very well now.
