  Smell almost new world with a grapey, cerises a l'eau de vie and pruny nose. The palate shows very firm tannins which are bitter and a similar profile than the nose with the oak a little more pronounced. Good acidity though.
  To me this wine lacks any Volnay character and doesn’t show any elegance. Very disappointing.

"One of the most beautiful wines of the Hospices" said Jean-Paul Bailly of Bouchard, with which I fully agree. (I recommended this cuvée to several other clients, who also bought it).
