Very young with tremendous potential! Drank over 2 days and opened up nicely on the second day. A funky wine with a bit of bramble and a nice pepper finish. I will let my other bottles lay down for a few years.
I agree with a few recent notes that this wine is in its drinking window and that window is slowly closing. Quite surprised though, because the 2010s in general are well-structured and seem to have a long life ahead. In addition, Tempranillo is a grape that ages quite well (when it has the structure to do so). Overall, this is thinning and while it still has good flavor, it's a on its way out, and I'll drink my remaining bottles in the next few months. Overall, disappointing.
I would rate this a little higher than most reviewer's: 91 to 92 on my scale. Nice balance with the little zippy fruit showing through. That said, don't agree with the age scale on this. I believe this is as good as it's going to get. Drink up.
