Pale gold color, darkening with age. Toast on the nose, with a little vanilla. Medium weight, still plenty of acidity. Stony backbone that's typical of Alsace. Lemon, apple and chalky soil. Still plenty here, maybe not fruit laden, but geez.

This was a very pleasant accompaniment to a cheese platter, which brought out its fresh apple and creamy lemon flavors and played off its acidity and minerality. Very good QPR.

Very pale straw in color. Ripe banana, golden delicious apple on the nose. Refreshing acidity on the palate with pineapple rind and citrus curd. The full bodied ripeness gives way to a touch of schist minerality on the moderate finish. A good midweek food wine.

Compared to my previous experience with past vintages this is a disappointment. Decent enough simple flavor profile, but lacking any sort of crispness. Overall pretty flabby...like a cheap not quite dry semillon.
