A solid, well-balanced, round Pommard that is delicious and may have reached its peak. Needs quite a bit of time to open up, improved on the second day.
One negative for me, not necassirily for thee: seems a bit high on alcohol, tasted above its 13.5% indication.
Overall, an overachiever, surpassed my expectations by a mile.

I didn't care for this when first opened and actually considered dumping the bottle (had a lot to drink that night which may have clouded my judgment) Kept it in the fridge for 3 day and throughly enjoyed it once it warmed up. Ok nose of red fruits but the pallet just blossomed. Licorice, minerals, red fruits. Nice mouthfeel and decent finish. Glad I didn't dump it! 91 --92

On the nose, this has a nice balance of red fruits, leather and meaty aromas. Most of the funkiness blows off after a couple of hours and some air, revealing good fruit and nice complexity.
The palate is smooth, medium bodied, balanced and shows a nice level of lingering acidity. There is little overt tannin to speak of, but it shows a bit on the tail end, after several hours of air. This wine has great balance and drinks well at this point (with some air), but the fruit coupled with the integrated acidity, and the sneaky tannin that creeps up with some air indicate that it has some legs and could go a while. To be clear, it's not a powerhouse but has good complexity and great balance, and has some nice potential. This was my first bottle of 3, and I think 3-5 more years before the next bottle will be a good decision.

PnP and let sit for a few minutes before sampling. Transparent red with some bricking and a thin strip of orange at the edge. Cherry, cranberry, earth and funk on the nose. On the palate red fruit, minerals, a whiff of oxygenation as the wine sits open, some pepper and heat. Quite good with a dinner of grilled chicken thighs, light tossed salad with a lemon vinaigrette and some Gouda cheese and crackers.
