Lucien Moine & Saouma Tasting 13/4 at etc burgundy Hk with Mounir Saouma
Color: dark red Nose: tight but lurking is a cacophony of dark fruits, opens after some time, ripe, spicy after 30 min, I am not sure if I like this nose Palate: full bodied, this is hard to judge now, but needs time and opens to reveal rich cdp, very well balanced, a more elegant style of cdp
One of the better wines I have had this year. The wine is actually a bit transparent, which made me think it might have mellowed pretty quickly, but this is still a beast. I'd love to see 2-3 years from now. Fascinating wine. Glad I have a few more.
Glass coating, Wow! Very smooth, velvet, rich and long, some tea notes, juicy acids with firm underlying tannins. This is a very interesting and different CdP. No noticeable oak. Medium red in color. This wine is interesting expression of 80 year old vines. 100% Grenache. I like this a lot now, but feel it will be even better with some additional bottle age.
