Light lemon color. Nose of citrus and wet stone with same on palate. Slight bitter finish due to lack of dosage - extra brut. Classy wine but think that champagne should be at least brut dosage. very good overall but may need food
I drink very little champagne, so consider that when reading this note. apples fruit profile, lees, fine bubbles, would want for a little more tangy acidity and didn't love the apple fruit profile versus (i don't know what other options there are). I liked it, didn't love it but once again, I have no barometer on champagne. 90-92
Showing very nicely tonight. Deeper and broader than bottle from year ago, pleasant oxidative and bitter notes on finish. Changes quite a bit over 2 hrs in the glass. Drunk alongside '07 vintage of same wine. '07 livelier and tenser, but not as complex (yet). January 2013 disgorgement.
Seriously good. Nose of old wood and rocks with a pleasant soft fudge undertone. Good backbone, rather dense but not overly tight body, class of this Champagne is evident. Excellent, albeit on the young side.
