I got this for $27. It’s a great deal. Lots of pineapple and melon on the nose. Sauternes like. The reviews that were disappointed in this wine, in my opinion, were pairing it with the wrong fare. I wouldn’t call this a dinner wine. This is on the dessert scale. Even the winemaker puts a scale on the back of the bottle 1-5, being dry to sweet. It says five. They warned you on the bottle. I would even go so far as to say that this is a fantastic poor-man’s Sauternes. It’s great. The nose is deep and intriguing. I would love a tad bit more acid, but this is a wonderful wine for the price point.

Rich mouth explosion. Concentrated and full, some minerals, good spice. Teeters on the edge of over-rich but skillfully reels it in. Nearly overpowering in its full flavors, and maybe not for averyone but I'd put this up against a long list of foods. Really nice stuff.

A disappointment. I'm a fan of the house, but this bottling, with too much richness, and r/s -- it just comes across as fat and oafish. Not what I wanted with my dinner, and, frankly, was kind of shocked to find the acids so slow. Tried this over 3 nights, each seemed to have its own issues. I've got another 2011 B-B, from a different vyd/Cru, let's hope for the best. 13.5% abv, this borders on sickly sweet at times, again, due to a shocking lack of acids.
IIRC, Garagiste pumped this up. That was the first clue.

Pleasnt yellow gold colored with medium legs. FResh tasting with a nose of cantaloupe, pineapple and lemon. A bit too off dry which gives it a bit of a sugary effect but does not spoil the taste

a nice wine but nowhere near the IWC review. too sweet on entry, nice mineral bite on the back end, great aromatics but not enough complexity to justify a 93+ pt rating or $30 price of admission.
