Having picked this up at auction for next to nothing I wasn't expecting much but this shows how well even secondary Bordeaux can age. The tannins have melted away leaving behind a pale garnet wine that displays some of the character of more illustrious neighbours. Smooth, mature notes of leather and tobacco with cedar and a touch of sous-bois. Still some fruit and although not overly complex, this is delicious to crack open mid-week and delighted that I managed to pick up a case of 12.
