Popped and poured. Medium red; a bit fading to brown on the edge. Sour cherry, iron, and mineral on the nose; medium bodied on the palate with herbs and spice rather than fruit at age 11; a bit of drying tannins and perhaps some alcohol on the finish. Not nearly as heavy as many Kistlers, more complexity but not for lovers of sweet fruit in Pinot Noirs. Probably a bit past its peak.
have not been a huge fan of kistler pinots...ability to have with a meal have been less than optimal...this bottle was far different great acid balance, not over done, not hot, good mouthfeel, good fruit and secondary flavors/complexity was solid
