Aromas of menthol, tobacco, violets, leather and smoke. and some ground coffee after a while in the glass. Reserved and resolved with some soft sweet fruit caressing the palate. Fully mature, really nice to drink, a bit better than a bottle Neville brought to Canberra (that was very good also, but showed some brett) and largely better than one had at Nev's birthday last year that was looking tired.

Wineflock - Henschke 'Master Class' tasting (Home): Group #9, My #10 - Started out ... cloudy garnet red. Bright red fruit aroma with hints of spice and an unusual note of roast turkey? Jammy tight tannic, slightly bitter red fruit. A bit off? But after an hour of two in the glass it really came around and rounded out. Better sweet fruit emerged and the bitterness faded. Probably a bit past its prime but certainly a fun wine to taste.

Dinner in Canberra (Canberra, Australia): Very youthful colour with no signs of browning. Nose has aromas of smoke, raw meat and some bretty notes. Lots of sweet red fruit on the well balanced palate.

Eight (Not Angry) Men Drinking Great Wine (Paris Club - Chicago IL): Popped and poured. Simple, rounded and very pleasant black fruit with some nice cigarbox character. Easy to enjoy.

Looking pretty tired. Some cedar and spice coming through, but not enough to save the short and struggling palate.
