Timuquana BYO (TCC): Just rocking. Absolutely love these wines and this was no diffferent. It’s leather and fruit and great vibrancy and style. Drinking really well. There’s still the new world fruit but such very nice balance and style to it. I’m enjoying it a lot.

Perfectly mature almost 48 year old wine with no real adverse signs of age. Bright ruby garnet color. More red fruited than black. Old school in the most wonderful ways. Light texture yet very dense with flavor. Great with both duck leg and breast. Very long finish. Delicious!

Perfect Bottle, and cork, I was sleep good with excellent acidity, not at all over the hill, great cabernet es, amazing freshness for age. Nose resembled aged Bordeaux but also distinctly Napa

2023 Napa in the City: Gala Dinner (The Pool in NYC): I just adore these old Dunn wines. They’re wonderful. Out of a magnum. This is all in balance. Plenty of life left to it but you get a bit more secondary coming out here. Fruits still there for sure but maybe a bit more tobacco and more of a baking spice. It’s drinking very nicely. Was really happy to see how this showed.

(Dunn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain) Group's #5 (my #7) – 51 pts; 2, 2, 0, 2 – Dark red violet color; odd, narrow, dank, earthy and VA nose, with a little mercaptan, possibly faulty; pinched, muted berry palate with fine grained tannins, chlorine and a sense of char; medium finish

Notes of acetone on nose . Cork broken on removal . Suspect well past prime but will try another bottle.
