Again I'm just going to copy and paste this note from my delectable account . . . maybe I just had a really good bottle.
Opaque maroon. Spicy cinnamon and black pepper backed by a nit quite jammy or candied black cherry, blackberry, and cherry. Lush and smooth, round entry. Mildly tannic but balanced. Blind I'd probably guess it was a Barossa Valley Shiraz. Gripping but not overly tannic and long finish that lingers. I'd take a whole case if I knew what it actually cost as it was gifted. I find it remarkable . . . I also decanted it for 4+ hours.

Decanted for 1 hour. Suprisingly comparable to the GunBun Merlot and a great match for the venison. Dark violet, smooth, nice finish. Will try the next one without decanting.

Popped & poured. Dark, full bodied zin; spicy, dark cherry and a bit jammy. Full finish. wonderful. Great QPR

Not bad for a cheap zin. Tasted better the second day. The fruit and tannins not quite integrated at this point.
