w pasta on night before thanksgiving. Major snow storm wet icy snow. Truck slid of the road but 2 good samaritans got me home. Yummy wine. Notes pretty consistent. Drink now is excellent advise. Yummy solid zin that tastes very young but is not wild but round. Yummy. Good winter wine
Good colour, concentrated prune juice, not much age. Deep, generous bouquet with sweet kirsch fruit straight from the Black Forest, blue plum, vanilla, oak. Full bodied, creamy, a whack of black cherries against a backdrop of dates, vanilla, and Asian spice. Well executed finish with fresh acidity and good length, there's just a hint of heat from the alcohol. Drink now
Popped and poured without decant. Good fruit, balanced and fine tannins - drinking very well right now but it's ready so drink up! Always liked this wine, good value and I'm looking forward to trying other more current vintages in the next few years.
