First time drinking Ridge with age. Very pleasant. After first opening, I thought it may well be close to done, but it kept getting better as the night went on. Still drinking well on night two, though diminished slightly.
Medium depth of colour - purplish robe and clear meniscus. Bouquet is rich and powerful and packed with ripe black fruit and aromas of violets. On the palate - a rich, mature and deep mix of oak, damson, mulberry and bilberry flavours backed by gentle tannins, ripe acidity, all in perfect balance. One of the best!
