A nice change of pace to drink a grape normally used as a blending varietal. A very floral (as opposed to fruity) nose and that must be why winemakers add this into their Bordeaux blends. Interesting but not a wine I would seek out.

Still liking this versatile wine. Can pair with almost anything than maybe fatty beef/lamb. Cherry hints and subtle tannins. Paired with smoked pork. Amazing.

Woodinville Tasting w/jrockman & JerryL: Definitely too young. Tannins came across quite strongly, but also quite a bit of fruit - mainly plum and blackberry. Would love to see what it looks like in 5 years.

(Januik Cabernet Franc Weinbau Vineyard Wahluke Slope) An aromatic, barrel forward wine with sweet spice, cocoa, and spicebox. The palate is soft and restrained with drawn out chocolate and cherry flavors. Note: Review will subsequently appear in Wine Enthusiast after wine is submitted.

A New World version of Cab Franc, quite nice. Not too oaked. Nicely done. Can certainly tell that there's Merlot in the wine.

Dark, rich packed with elegant violet, blueberry, plum & warm vanilla notes on nose. Vibrant & focused on the palate, displays nice balance. Long, polished finish...
