  • Re-assessed at the seven-month point, this taste generally confirms my 11/9/12 impressions (although the color is more medium rather than light ruby). The nose is perfumed, with floral, strawberry and raspberry aromas. Fresh and medium-bodied on the palate, the flavors follow the nose and the alcohol is seamless (listed as 13%). The tannins, while relatively light, remain a bit dusty. Solid in the middle, the wine concludes with a long but somewhat dry finish. A bit more cellaring will bring out the best in this delicious offering. Drink 2014-2020.

  • This unblinded tasting was enjoyable start-to-finish. Light ruby in color, it is a gem with an intense, perfumed nose, showing floral, strawberry and raspberry aromas which tease the taster to continue on the "journey" to the palate. The tease to the palate is not disappointing. The wine is crisp, with similar flavors as the nose and well-integrated alcohol (listed as 13%). The tannins, while relatively light, are still a bit dusty. Solid in the middle, it ends with a long, albeit slightly dry finish. This unequivocally "feminine" Burgundy needs just a bit of time to let the light but edgy tannins soften a bit. Drink 1/14-12/20.
