Brick red in the glass, this ribeira iis not past it but will not get any better. It has the cherry overtones which mark a wine from the region and has developed mushroom like secondary flavours. It's a solid if unspectacular wine, pleasant enough as an aged wine experience but not compelling enough to seek out a second bottle.

PnP. Bronwish red. Back on form this time out. Restrained but awesome nose of quiet cherries and a deep center of meaty, smokey mushroom/earth. Palate is marked by a metallic/mineral tannic bite, but also with some fruit and layered earth/spice lifted by acidity. Not particularly harmonius but with food to tone down the rough edges - not bad.

Alvin's. Corked--but clearly would have otherwise been a perfect bottle of aged, but not fully mature, Pesquera. Sad!

Interesting wine. Notes of earth, mushroom and tobacco. Smooth after decanting for 2 hours.

Aromas and flavors of tobacco spittoon, dried mud, leather, and stewed tomatoes. No discernible fruit remaining.
