Popped and poured off a glass and let the wine breath for 3 hours. Enjoyed 2 glasses over a few hours and shared the rest of the bottle with friends. Man, was this good. Smells of earth and mulch mixed with sweet red fruit burst from the glass. The palate is open but still so young. Terrific density with more red fruit with hints of cedar. I would expect this wine to improve for the next 5-10 years as it picks up secondary notes.

Popped and poured. This one was ready to go from the first sniff and taste. The new oak is evident providing a sense of fullness and sweetness to the wine yet I didn't find it obtrusive. Like many '99s it's still quite primary showing off glossy fruit. This was quite enjoyable and showed well for its level.

This is Burgundy to perfection. The nose is full of ripe plums, cherries and some prunes. The taste is saturated with ripe plums, prunes and cherries and some fruit pie flavors. This wine is nearing or at its peak. Drink-up!

a charming burgundy. On the nose raspberries with a hint of cherries. A lovely complex palette with great length. Delicious!
