Plenty of timber on the palate, a little dominant perhaps. Some floral notes to admireand a dash of dark fruit lingering, but im impressed on how such a simple entry level blend, is holding up more than a decade on. 2 to go so fingers crossed they have cellared like the last 2.

Dark, dark, dark. Black fruits & oak on the nose, vanilla there as well. Bit of heat on the palate again. Fruit is there, perhaps the oak is not as bad as I killed it for in previous notes, but this wine is a pass.
If you own this you may want to hold for another year, or judge for yourself, as I can't tell if it is the tannins or the wood that drys my mouth.

Nice. Deep color, whif of Alch & dense fruit coming off, toasty oak. NIce bounce of that same oaky fruit, drying tannincs & Oak again, bit of confused lingering finish of dry oak. Kinda like sucking fresh Oak off a tree. Maybe it needs some food or another day... Day III vacumed, toned down a bit, finish shows some upside for this but really marginal. Again, a once classic Penfolds blend has lost its edge with john duvall gone.
