  • Popped and poured. Nose of red cherry, cranberry, earth, spice. On the palate, ripe cherry, rhubarb, earth. Finishes with nice acidity and spice. Still very good but on it way out, starting to lose some complexity but at $13, how can I complain too much?

  • Popped and poured. Wonderful nose of mushroom, black tea, pie cherry, rhubarb, cranberry, red raspberry. On the palate, pie cherry, asian spice, black tea, mushroom, earth. Finishes with tart acidity and a tannic bite. This got better as the night went on. Hold. Great value. Well done for the vintage.

  • opens up in the glass; pleasant clean nose, fruity & earthy; taste quite acidic with some raw tannins, smoothening with oxygen, wait if you have some left

  • I either drank this too soon or too late. It's a restrained style, so it was fairly elegant young, especially for such a hot vintage. Right now I think it's at a phase where what little fruit it had is disappearing. I'm not sure it's going to add anything with age, though. It's relatively balanced but not much structure or anything else. Nice earthiness is its best selling point. I think this probably peaked in 2006. If I had any more I'd wait a year or two to see if it goes any where. Imported by Wilson & Daniels Ltd.
